Back by popular demand!  This highly popular 10-hour training will be offered on May 23rd (Thursday) and May 24th (Friday). Space is limited to 50 participants and pre-registration is required.

The Medical Case Management Institute is endorsed by the Professional Association of Social Workers in HIV/AIDS (PASWHA) and is designed to meet this HRSA requirement: “Medical Case Management Services must be provided by trained professionals, including both medically credentialed and other health care staff." (HAB Policy Notice 10-02).

Some of the topics to be covered will be: Best Practices, Trauma Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, Health Literacy, Adherence and Self Care. The Medical Case Management Certificate is available upon completion of additional online training's to be offered in the post-conference period.

Note: Those who register for the MCM Institute are expected to attend the full 10-hour training.

Ms. Melinda Marasch is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a social work/mental health consultant. Melinda has dedicated more than 20 years to her passion for helping others. She specializes in clinical training, supervision, and development of programs for therapists and direct care workers. Her expertise includes helping non-therapist direct care workers in providing efficient, effective, therapeutic care for participants. Melinda has experience in residential, school & outpatient care, within healthcare (e.g. HIV/AIDS medical case managers, patient navigators), public (e.g. department of human services caseworkers), and community-based organizations. Melinda is a member of the international Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) and has presented numerous training across the U.S. on therapeutic approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, self-care, mental health issues, de-escalation, and more.
